I ordered a couple of books through Alibris (wonderful used-bookstore consolidation site), all three shipped from a bookseller in Illinois. Or so I thought.I was beginning to get a bit worried about the shipment (I ordered a month ago) and they showed up today. I now know why they took so long -- they apparently shipped from Switzerland. I have no idea why (perhaps because the local bookshop didn't really have them?).
They came in a giant white tyvek bag with all sorts of official-looking government tags and plastic locks on it. It was pretty funny.
